SMART Goals are positive statements that describe
WHO… will be able to do
WHAT.. by
WHEN… and
HOW… will we know
Specific – Knowledge/Values/Behaviors being target for change
Measurable – which can be observed and counted (and the means by which behaviors are to be exhibited)
Attainable – and which people can reasonably be expected to learn, commit to, and perform
Result-Oriented -the new/changed information beliefs, and /or skills expected as a result of training
Time-Limited -and the date(s) set for accomplishing targeted change (s)
